I CAN fly

When I want to build myself up to get into my Vortex, as Abraham says, one thing I love to do is think back on a summer night that me and my youngest son went on Vacation to Wildwood New Jersey. We bought 6 tickets to the most extreme rides they have. That was the best $35.00 I ever spent! The ride I go back to in my mind time and time again, I rode alone. I could not talk my son into going on with me but it was fine with me because I knew I’d love it! I was so excited! It was one that zoomed frontwards and backwards way up high in the sky, so high that it was much taller than any other attraction or building around, or so it seemed. The seats were sort of single seats and I was strapped in securely like you are when you go on a roller coaster. My legs dangled below me. The ride was very long and oval shaped. I think only 4 or 6 people could get on the ride at once…two or three seats next to each other on either end of the long oval. I was the only one on the ride. It started to go around and kept picking up speed like it would never stop and you could be thrown into the air! Faster and faster it went as I held onto the straps for dear life! I was screaming and laughing and it was just so, so great! Then the ride slowed down and I was a bit disappointed that it would end so quickly even though it had been fun. Instead of ending though, it started moving backwards and it went so freaking fast and just so high! Unbelievably high!!! I don’t know when I thought to leave go of the straps but I did and I spread my wings out wide and just began to fly in the air laughing out loud at the top of my lungs, knowing somewhere in the back of my mind that my teenage son would be humiliated by me. I didn’t care though. I couldn’t! It was the most freeing experience I have ever felt in my life!! My body was strapped in so securely that it felt like the whole thing was a part of me. As my arms were stretched out wide, I was souring out and across
the beach and the ocean, I was part of the beautiful sunsetting in the sky and I was truly in the moment! If ever I was in my Vortex, it was then. After I started learning about what Abraham teaches and how my feelings could attract positive energy and how this was my power, I knew this memory brought me even more than I felt that night. and just writing it down here and remembering it all over again gives me such a wonderful feeling of exhilaration!!! If ever I need to feel the power of energy, I know where to go!!

Signing up for Wordpress

This is what I do. Sign up for wordpress ( or other things I am suddenly interested in on the internet). Get caught up in reading other peoples blogs. Lose confidence. Write from the heart. Forget my password. Reset it months later. See what I wrote. Even though no one read it, I am embarrassed. Try to edit it. Can’t figure it out. Hope no one reads it. Write another blog. Get bored. Try to find blogs of people I know. Can’t figure that out either. Get frusterated. Fill out the tags, log out and play Words with Friends. Breath.

Write about your strongest memory of heart-pounding belly-twisting nervousness: what caused the adrenaline? Was it justified? How did you respond?

I am all grown up… but not really

I know I am all grown up. I have to be. I did a bunch of grown up things. Good, bad, legal and other stuff. I have three kids and two grandsons. I may have covered up a gray hair and I think I spotted a wrinkle once.😁 You don’t get those unless you have lived for a while right? Right.

I think during my lifetime so far I must have felt grown up but now, not so much. I remember my 80 old neighbor Jim Daywalt telling me that he still felt the same way he did in his younger years and sometimes when he passed himself in the mirror he had to do a double take at the fact that an old man was looking back.

That’s about how I feel now. Sort of. I mean, after the kids grow up and move out and you just don’t have so much to worry about anymore. You, or I anyway, feel young again. All those years spent worrying about getting older and how horrible it would be and this is what it led to? Ha! I guess the joke was on me cause this ain’t bad at all. If I had to throw some wisdom in here I’d have to say, you really can’t EVER say that your all grown up because really you never stop growing and if you do well then you must be dead. Even dead you don’t stop growing because life for you does continue to go on. You might have to leave that particular body behind. Then you get to go back to the place that you remembered before you were born, so to speak. You see what you’ve accomplished and what you might want to work on next.

It’s then you really see how much you’ve grown. So some may call me a grown up. But it looks like I’ve thought it through and I know better.
